LIVED IN SQUARES

Bloomsbury Virginia Woolf Sketch 2.jpg

Lets paint the house where it all began.

43 Gordan Square, Bloomsbury, London.

The first project a in the Watercolour Mail Kit is a fun paint-along.

This is a particularly special one, as 43 Gordon Square was actually the very first paint-along we ever did live on Intagram.

Will has updated the sketch, which is now in the style of a beautiful Vanessa Bell book sleeve.

There is a step-by-step guide and video tutorial.

PAINTED IN CIRClES

Vanessa Bell Painting Picture 1.jpg

famous women plates

The second project in November's Watercolour Mail Kit is a partally guided tutorial based in 50 dinner plates handpainted by Vanessa Bell and Duncan Grant and commissioned by heavenly art historian Kenneth Clark which are displayed at dear Charlston House.

They are a celebration of amazing women through out history.

In our tutorial paint a portrait of Vanessa Bell in the style of the Famous Women Dinner plates using the step-by-step guide and video tutorial. You'll then create your own decorative boarder taking inspiration from a selecton of pattern from ceramic fabric and more.

LOVED IN TRIANGLES

Freedom in colour

Vanessa Bell, Duncan Grant and David ‘Bunny’ Garnett shared an unconventional life at Charleston, with Duncan romantically involved with both Vanessa and Bunny. Garnett's striking beauty inspired portraits by both artists.

Taking inspiration from their expressive use of colour, we'll create our own watercolour paintings from reference pictures, guided by a video tutorial.
