Will's sketch of a Cockchafer Beetle to use with our free tutorial.
 
We will use the  colours from the Matchbox Paint Set. They are Alizarin Crimson, Ultramarine Blue, Burnt Umber and Cadmium Yellow. As an optional addition we could also use Venetian Red.
 
A small round brush would work really well, Will will be using a size 2.
 
Simply download and print onto watercolour paper.
 
Your printer will need to have PGBK (pigment black) and printed with the grayscale setting on (in your print options) to avoid the sketch bleeding when wet.
 
If you don't have such a swanky printer why not print out and trace onto watercolour paper.
